Chef R.G. and sous chef Andi have fired up the burners again and are looking for more cooks for the kitchen! In this follow-up volume to the Lambda finalist anthology All You Can Eat: A Buffet of Lesbian Romance & Erotica, you are invited to submit your best food-related story. Whether it’s a romantic homemade dinner, a randy romp with a stranger, or slow-burning attraction, tell us a tale that we will want to devour.
1) Original, unpublished stories only. We will not accept reprints.
2) All forms of erotica and romance are acceptable, with the exception of bestiality, incest, and rape. Characters must be at least 18 years old.
3) Stories must incorporate food and/or cooking in some way and, yes, it may take place in a food-related setting (restaurant, kitchen, etc.).
4) Female characters can identify as lesbian, heterosexual, bi, or male-to-female, but the sex/romance must be F/F.
5) We encourage the inclusion of an original, unpublished recipe that is appropriate/relevant to the story in some way. It will be included at the end of your story and will be part of your word count if you do include one. The simpler and shorter the recipe, the better. All recipes must be your own. We will not accept recipes taken from other sources – i.e., books, magazines, blogs, websites, etc. (Note: If you want to use someone else’s – such as your mother’s or grandmother’s–original recipe, we will need express written permission from that person.)
Give us your best original work. We want well-crafted, polished stories with interesting characters and strong narrative. Don’t just give us a quickie hook-up in a 7-Eleven bathroom over a doughnut. Don’t just have your character whip a zucchini out of the nightstand. Be creative. Combine your love of food, sex, and romance in a story that will crank up the heat beneath your readers. Whether you can barely boil water or are you ready for Iron Chef, we want you to cook something up for us. Fast food or gourmet meal—what’s your pleasure? We hope you show us.

I am looking for sexy, well-written lesbian erotica stories with a clear power dynamic. Your story should feature kinky sex between two or more women, from bondage scenarios to power play to role play to sadism and masochism. I want characters with a range of age, race and sexual experience. I welcome both stories from the dominant and the submissive’s point of view. Dommes are not required to be perfect—show me their flaws and vulnerabilities!—and subs shouldn’t be pushovers. Show me what makes your characters tick. I’m not that interested in stories of extreme humiliation, but welcome stories where pain is pleasure and vice versa. Give me a good spanking. Handcuffs. A dangerously cracking whip. A top who knows what she’s doing and a bottom who’s not afraid of some unexpected pain. Surprise me with your sadism, and with how your sub can only truly take it because of the deep emotional connection with the one she must surrender to.
Stories should have a unique voice, strong characters, tension, and rising action. All characters must be over 18.
Please note the usual no-nos apply: no incest / underage sex / rape / necrophilia / bestiality. No poetry please.
US English. Please submit a double-spaced Microsoft Word document, using a 12-point serif font, such as Georgia or Times New Roman. One inch margins. If using a pen name, include both real and pen name on the manuscript.
Send your story as a .doc or .rtf file attachment to submissions at ladylit dot com. Please include ‘From Top To Bottom’ and your story title in the subject line.
In the body of the email please include your legal name, pen name (if applicable) and a short bio of no longer than 100 words written in 3rd person.
Established authors welcomed, newcomers encouraged. I look forward to reading your work.
All submissions acknowledged within 5 days and acceptances notified by 1 October 2015. The anthology will be released in November/December 2015.
And here’s a reminder about a couple that are closing soon.

We have always been here, in every era and every area of society, even though we’ve been all but invisible in recorded history. Now is your chance to use your imagination, research a period of history that intrigues you, and tell us fictional stories about the lesbian women who came before us. From the 1500s to the mid-1900s, from the late Renaissance and Elizabethan times to World Wars I and II, give us characters true to their times, and true to themselves, not modern people inserted into the past. Draw us into a time and place, its customs, inhibitions, aspirations, and patterns of thought and speech, and into the lives of fully developed, complex characters.
Show us intense relationships and emotional bonds. Some degree of erotic tension is acceptable, but this is not a place for outright erotica. Happy endings are welcome if they seem plausible, and so are heart-rending encounters fated to live on only in memory. Diversity of culture will be appreciated. We want variety in scenarios and time periods, so feel free to contact us to see whether we seem to be getting too much from any era or setting, or with any other queries.
Original, unpublished stories only. Multiple submissions are okay, but no simultaneous submissions.
In keeping with our theme of lesbians throughout history, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a charity that assists senior lesbians.
Submit your stories in .doc or .docx to historical.anthology@gmail.com
Best Lesbian Erotica 2016
Editor: Sacchi Green
Publisher: Cleis Press
Deadline: June 1, 2015 (earlier encouraged)
Payment: $100 and 2 copies of the book within 90 days of publication
Rights: non-exclusive right to publish the story in this anthology in print, ebook and audiobook form. Authors will retain copyright to their stories. Standard Cleis Press contributor contract.
The Best Lesbian Erotica series has a special place in my heart. My first erotica publication was in BLE, many years ago, and I’ve had stories in eight volumes altogether, so I want to make this next edition worthy of the long tradition of sexy excellence. Only you writers can make this happen.
Give me your best work. Is there a story inside you burning to be written, or one already published that makes you especially proud–and extremely hot? I’ll consider up to two submissions per author, between 2000-4000 words preferred length. No simultaneous submissions. I’ll consider reprints, preferably published between June 2014 and June 2015, but hope to be seeing more new, unpublished work.
I want a variety of themes, voices, and tone. Diversity in ages, ethnicities, cultures, and physical attributes and abilities is welcome. The central figures must be lesbian, believable, fully developed characters. Give me vividly drawn settings, and plots or story arcs that grip the reader and don’t let go. Originality is especially welcome; write the story that only you can write. And, of course, I want intense sex scenes that flow naturally from the story as a whole. All flavors of sensuality are welcome, from vanilla to BDSM to edgy frontiers that surprise and startle the reader. A few stories with a speculative fiction bent, science fiction or fantasy, will be considered.
Send your submission as an attachment in .doc, .docx. or .rtf format, double spaced, Times New Roman black font, with story title, legal name, pseudonym (if applicable,) and mailing and e-mail addresses on the first page, to sacchigreen @ gmail.com. Queries are welcome.
Writers, start your engines!
First (working title)
Editor: Cheyenne Blue (www.cheyenneblue.com)
Publisher: Ladylit Publishing (www.ladylit.com)
Deadline: 24 April 2015
Payment: US$40.00 plus a copy of e-book and paperback
Rights: First worldwide digital rights and print rights.
Cheyenne Blue is seeking fictional stories of lesbian passion about first experiences. While I will be including stories of sexual firsts, including first lesbian encounter and first experience of a particular sexual act, I am especially after stories that look beyond this with imagination and flair. I would like to see stories where the sex happens as an integral part of another first, whether it’s the first day in a new job, the first time overseas, breaking the law, or skinny dipping. How about a first experience of sex in zero G in space, or a near death experience on the battleground of a past war? Show me the marvel, wonder, joy, and pride of new experience, the accomplishment, or even the fear or despair. I welcome stories of emotional firsts: the first time in love, the first time that hate translates to sex, the first time with a new partner after a break up.
Above all, I want strong, complete tales that are more than just a sex act. This is not an anthology of true confessions, so stories do not need to be written in first person. For examples of the type of stories and writing I’m looking for, check out my previous anthology, “Forbidden Fruit: stories of unwise lesbian desire”.
Please note the usual no-nos apply: no incest / underage sex / rape / necrophilia / bestiality / scat. No poetry please.
Preferred length: 2500 – 5000 words
Unpublished stories strongly preferred, although a couple of reprints might be used. Reprints must be solely owned by the author.
US English. Please submit a double-spaced Microsoft Word document, using a 12-point serif font, such as Georgia or Times New Roman. One inch margins. If using a pen name, include both real and pen name on the manuscript.
Send your story as a .doc or .rtf file attachment to Cheyenne Blue at firstantho@gmail.com. Please include “First” and your story title in the subject line.
In the body of the email please include your legal name, pseudonym, a short bio, and previous publication information if the story is a reprint.
Established authors welcomed, newcomers encouraged. I look forward to reading your work.
All submissions acknowledged within 3 days and acceptances notified by 1 June 2015.
About the editor: Cheyenne Blue is the editor of “Forbidden Fruit: stories of unwise lesbian desire” also from Ladylit, and has edited short stories through to novels.
